Ghana will not have any representative in next year’s CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup competitions.

The Normalization committee tasked to manage Ghana football on the interim came to a conclusion that no Club will be made to play in Africa’s inter-club competition next year after a meeting with Club owners in the country on Friday at the Alisa Hotel.

Winners of the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup competition were expected to represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively.

However an impasse on Ghana football which halted football activities in the country saw both the domestic League and Cup competition being suspended.

Medeama SC and Ashanti Gold who were however occupying the first and second spots on the League table were expected to represent Ghana in Africa if Ghana had agreed to play.

Dr. Kofi Amoah together with his team with concerns from the Club owners decided to boycott next year’s Inter Club competition and prepare for the upcoming season.
